Club Invites: A Clash brengt twee frisse artistieke visies samen in één onvergetelijke avond. Samengesteld door Club Guy & Roni viert dit double bill het contrast en nodigt het publiek uit om twee totaal verschillende werelden binnen te stappen.
JA Collective
JA Collective, bekend van samenwerkingen met onder anderen Paul McCartney, Katy Perry en The Weeknd, presenteert een helder en zintuiglijk werk over aandacht: de warmte van gezien worden, de angst om ontmaskerd te raken en de emotionele aantrekkingskracht van in het licht stappen. Met experimenteel lichtontwerp, muziek van Current Joys en intieme scènes onderzoeken zij de spanning tussen willen verschijnen en willen verdwijnen.
Mats van Rossum & Rebecca Laufer
Mats en Rebecca nemen ons mee naar een compleet andere plek: een duistere, rommelige en magische wereld waarin jeugdherinneringen, underdog-bestaan en surrealistische figuren tot leven komen. In hun eigenzinnige mix van fysiek theater en dans onthullen zij de vreemde schoonheid van chaos – een plek waar humor, angst en verbeelding naast elkaar bestaan.
Club Invites: A Clash is geen avond om achterover te leunen. Het is een uitnodiging om openlijk te kijken, te ervaren en verrast te worden.

JA Collective, who’ve worked with artists like Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, and The Weeknd present a luminous piece about attention: the warmth of beingnoticed, the fear of being exposed, and the emotional pull of stepping intothe light. Through experimental lighting, music by Current Joys, andintimate moments they explore the balance between wanting to be seen andwanting to disappear.

Mats and Rebecca lead us somewhere entirely different: into a dark, messy, magical world where childhood memories, underdog lives, and surreal characters come alive. Their blend of physical theater and dance uncovers the strange beauty hidden in chaos, a place where humor, fear, and imagination sit side by side.

SAINTS
NL | Saints van Rebecca Laufer and Mats van Rossum is speels, open en voortdurend in beweging. Het verkent rauwe fantasie, pijnlijke jeugdherinneringen en de spanning tussen controle en vertrouwen. Je ziet dansers beelden belichamen, personages die steeds opnieuw falen en het risico nemen om opnieuw te beginnen. Scènes verschijnen en verdwijnen. Humor en kwetsbaarheid lopen door elkaar. Wat zich ontvouwt is geen afgerond verhaal, maar een levend proces dat onderzoekt, schuurt en transformeert op het podium.
EN | Saints by Rebecca Laufer and Mats van Rossum is playful, open and constantly in motion. It explores raw fantasy, painful childhood memories and the tension between control and trust. You watch dancers embody images, characters who repeatedly fail and take the risk of trying again. Scenes appear and disappear. Humor and vulnerability intertwine. What unfolds is not a finished story, but a living process, exploring, rubbing and transforming on stage.

NL | Mats van Rossum en Rebecca Laufer vormen een eigenzinnig makersduo dat zich niet laat begrenzen door conventies. Voor Club Invites: A Clash duiken zij samen met de dansers van de Poetic Disasters Club de studio in om een wereld te creëren waarin jeugdherinneringen, underdog-bestaan en surrealistische figuren tot leven komen. Hun aanpak? Structuur opbouwen om die vervolgens open te breken, en: áltijd ruimte laten voor het onverwachte.

NL | Met Sun Dog trekt JA Collective je een strak gecomponeerde wereld van beweging en licht in, waarin de transformatie van energie het centrale spel wordt. Je blik wordt gestuurd, betoverd en uitgedaagd. Dansers en de architectuur van ruimte en licht reageren direct op elkaar. Licht wordt choreografie, ruimte wordt een reden om te bewegen. De ervaring is intens en geconcentreerd, een spel van zichtbaarheid, kwetsbaarheid en controle waarin juist het onverwachte mag oplichten.

EN | With Sun Dog, JA Collective pulls you into a tightly composed world of movement and light, where the transformation of energy becomes the central game. Your gaze is guided, mesmerised and challenged. Dancers and the architecture of space and light respond directly to one another. Light becomes choreography, space becomes a reason to move. The experience is intense and concentrated, a play of visibility, vulnerability and control, where the unexpected is allowed to shine.

Voor Club Invites: A Clash onderzoeken zij thema's rondom aandacht; de warmte van gezien worden, de angst om ontmaskerd te raken en de emotionele aantrekkingskracht van in het licht stappen. Hun werk verweeft experimenteel lichtontwerp met een bijna filmische sturing van de aandacht van het publiek.

How it started..
Both JA Collective and Mats and Rebecca first entered the orbit of Club Guy & Roni as recipients of the Club Guy & Roni Partner Award at RIDCC.
The award reflects a shared artistic curiosity and an interest in makers who build strong worlds, take their time, and develop a clear, personal language. Club Invites grows out of those encounters — extending an initial meeting into a deeper collaboration on stage.
